Founding Talent Partner, Business

Our Mission Every major corner of healthcare has a system of record. Hospitals have Epic. Post-acute care, which includes behavioral health, skilled nursing, hospice, home health, and autism care, never got one. Millions of patients are cared for by providers running on legacy software, disconnected point solutions, and in some cases still paper. The result is lost revenue, burned-out clinicians, and patients who fall through the cracks. Ease Health is building the Epic for behavioral health and post-acute care. We’re an AI-native operating system that brings referrals, clinical care, and revenue cycle into one platform, starting with behavioral health. Our customers range from outpatient therapy practices to psychiatric hospitals and the largest addiction treatment providers in the country. We’re about a year old and moving fast. We’ve grown from two people to 60+, now serve 125+ behavioral health organizations, have grown revenue 20x this year, and are backed by a16z. Behavioral health is where we start, not where we stop. Our goal is to build the defining company in post-acute care, and we’re building for the long haul. The Role Hiring is the single biggest lever for our next stage of growth, and we’re looking for a Founding Talent Partner to own it on the business side. You’ll report directly to our CEO and build Ease’s business-side talent function from the ground up, with real ownership over who we hire and how we hire them. Our Founding Talent Partner on the Engineering side owns technical hiring, and the two of you work as counterparts: same bar, shared tools, one candidate experience across Ease. This is a rare chance to learn how to scale a company through hypergrowth, side by side with the CEO, hiring everyone from analysts to heads of functions. What you can expect - Own talent from day one. There’s no business-side playbook yet. You’ll build the process, the scorecards, the templates, and reporting in Ashby that will carry Ease through its next phase of growth. - Learn directly from the CEO. You’ll work hand in hand with our CEO on how to build teams at every level, from first analyst to head of a function, and how great companies are built one hire at a time. - Hire across the business side. You’ll recruit for Implementation, Customer Success, Go-to-Market, Business Operations, Healthcare SME, and Clinical Operations roles. - Become a healthcare talent expert. You’ll learn how to find and close specialists who are hard to find anywhere: clinicians, revenue cycle experts, and behavioral health operators. - Run the full cycle. You’ll source, reach out, screen, interview, run reference checks, and close, staying hands-on at every step from first message to signed offer. - Bring your boldest ideas. We want creative, unconventional approaches to finding great people. If you have an idea that’s never been tried, we want to hear it. - Build a sustainable engine. You’ll reduce our reliance on agencies, manage partners when it makes sense, and keep Ashby clean so we always know where every search stands. Your first 90 days - Take over our open searches and give each one a clear scorecard and a live pipeline in Ashby. - Build the core kit: intake template, screening guide, outreach templates, and a close process. - Make your first hires, with more of them coming from your own sourcing than from agencies. - Set up weekly pipeline reporting so the CEO and every hiring manager know where each search stands. About you - You’re a strong sourcer. You know how to find and engage people who aren’t looking, and you write outreach that gets responses. - You have sharp judgment. You can evaluate talent with confidence and push back on hiring managers when it matters. - You thrive on volume and ownership. You can run 10+ open roles at once without dropping the ball on candidate experience. - You’re a builder. You want to create a function, not just fill seats, and you see this role as a career-defining opportunity. Bonus points - Experience as a founding or first recruiter at an early-stage company - Comfort using AI tools to supercharge sourcing, screening, and recruiting operations Location: Strong preference to be based in NYC
