We are looking for a Staff Engineer to take architectural and technical decisions across squads, own our largest technical initiatives, and raise the engineering bar as we scale. You’ll report to our engineering leadership, with no direct reports and real decision-making power. What we’re looking for - Seniority: 8+ years in software engineering, with recent experience as a Staff, Principal, or Founding Engineer, Architect, or startup CTO. - Systems at Scale: Hands-on experience designing and running complex, large-scale distributed systems. - Technical Breadth: Comfort across the stack, and a track record of owning problems outside your core expertise. - Ownership & Influence: Proven ability to drive cross-team initiatives end to end and shape decisions of teams you don’t manage. - Diverse Contexts: Experience in different tech companies, startups, scale-ups, or big tech, where you’ve faced real complexity. - Language: Fluent in English; Italian is a plus. Rewarding your contribution - Compensation (Milan equivalent): €80,000–120,000 - Equity: meaningful equity on top, in line with the seniority of the role - Team retreats & off-sites: dedicated time to connect, collaborate, and spark bold ideas Benefits That Matter - Hybrid Work: Hybrid with office presence in our Milan hub. - Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage to ensure peace of mind. - Meal Vouchers: Daily support to make your lunch breaks easier. - Team Retreats & Off-sites: Dedicated time to connect, collaborate, and spark bold ideas. At Lexroom http://Lexroom.ai, ambition meets discipline and purpose. We're not just building a product—we're setting a new standard for the legal world. If you're ready to contribute to something lasting and meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.
