Billing Specialist

You'll own the day-to-day revenue cycle for a set of customers, and help us build an RCM system that makes the work faster for everyone who comes after you. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Manage claim submission for your customers, on time and complete - Track authorizations across payers and levels of care - Handle payment posting, reconciliation, ERA enrollments, and remittance workflows - Work AR follow-up on denials, underpayments, and aging claims - Communicate with customers to gather information and resolve billing issues - Learn our RCM system and tell us what's missing - Spot recurring billing issues and help build the processes that prevent them WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 3+ years of behavioral health billing experience preferred - Deep familiarity with the behavioral health revenue cycle: claims, authorizations, denials, and payer follow-up - Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to learn new software quickly - Comfort operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment - Strong organization and attention to detail across multiple customers NICE TO HAVE - Experience with multiple clearinghouses and payer portals - Knowledge of EDI, eligibility verification, or benefits verification - Prior RCM management at a billing company or provider organization
