Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

At Lexroom http://Lexroom.ai, we’re not just building software; we’re revolutionizing the way legal professionals work. Our mission is to empower lawyers, law firms, and companies with a world-class AI product that saves time, boosts productivity, and redefines what’s possible in the legal world — and to become the new standard for legal AI across Italy, Germany, and Spain. We’re changing the game, and we’re doing it with a team of builders who are looking for their next big challenge. The infrastructure that powers our AI is the backbone of that mission. We’re looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to make it fast, reliable, and ready to scale across Europe. WHY LEXROOM? - Shape the Future: Join the team taking legal AI to the next level. Here, we don’t follow trends — we define them. - Grow with Builders: Work side by side with experts in AI and law in an environment that values competence, rigor, and genuine collaboration. Ego stays at the door. - Make a Real Impact: Your work will transform the daily lives of tens of thousands of professionals. You’ll solve complex problems that genuinely matter — and you’ll see the results. THE CHALLENGE As we scale across multiple European markets, our infrastructure has to keep pace without ever compromising on reliability, security, or speed. You’ll own the cloud foundation that our AI products run on: the platform our engineers build on every day and the systems thousands of legal professionals depend on. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, working closely with our engineering team to translate fast growth into stable, well-architected infrastructure. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Own our infrastructure-as-code setup (Terraform), making environments reproducible, auditable, and easy to evolve. - Manage and optimize our serverless architecture, from deployment workflows to autoscaling and resource tuning. - Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that let our engineers ship quickly and safely. - Strengthen observability across the stack — monitoring, logging, alerting — so we catch issues before our users do. - Harden our security and compliance posture (we’re GDPR and ISO 27001 aligned), embedding best practices into the platform by default. - Design disaster recovery and business continuity plans and implementation strategies. - Partner with product and engineering teams to support new features with the right infrastructure, and lead by example on operational excellence. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, Backend Engineering, or a similar role. - Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (experience with another major cloud is welcome if you’re ready to go deep on GCP). - Solid command of infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform. - Production experience with serverless and event-driven architectures. - Knowledge of various DB systems (e.g. SQL/noSQL, vectorial) - Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, CircleCI, Jenkins). - Comfort with at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation. - A working understanding of cloud networking, security, and cost management. - A pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset: you measure your work by outcomes, not effort, and you tell the truth even when it’s uncomfortable. - Fluency in Italian and English. NICE TO HAVE - Experience with AI-based coding (e.g. Cursor, or Claude Code) - Experience with AI and LLMs.   WHAT SETS US APART An Exceptional Team At Lexroom.ai http://Lexroom.ai, you’ll work alongside top talent in tech and legal AI. Our focused teams operate with purpose and autonomy, so every contribution delivers visible results. You’ll collaborate with people who pair innovation with rigor, curiosity with discipline, ambition with depth. Growth that Matters We hire exceptional people to make a difference—and we give them space to lead. Your work will shape the future of legal technology and set new standards for the field. Impact is defined by vision and execution, not by age or title. If you’re ready to take responsibility, you’ll find real opportunities to grow and lead high-stakes projects. Rewarding Your Contribution We value excellence and share success: - Annual Salary Range: €50,000 – €75,000 - Equity Package: Align your growth with the company’s long-term success.   BENEFITS THAT MATTER - Hybrid Work: Flexibility to balance remote work with in-person collaboration at our Milan HQ. - Meal Vouchers: Daily support to make your lunch breaks easier. - Performance Bonuses: Rewards tied directly to measurable results. - Team Retreats & Off-sites: Dedicated time to connect, collaborate, and spark bold ideas.   At Lexroom http://lexroom.ai/, we’re driven by bold ambitions and a passion for excellence. We’re building something great, and that requires dedication, hard work, and a commitment to continuous growth. If you’re excited about the opportunity to challenge yourself, work hard and make a real impact, then we’d love to see your application.
