ABOUT THE ROLE You'll play a crucial role in shaping our blockchain initiatives as a Smart Contract Developer. This is a growth hire: you'll set up a proof-of-concept (POC) to emulate transfer-agency workflows, primarily on Ethereum, with the flexibility to adapt to Solana or Canton based on your strengths. You'll join a collaborative team focused on blockchain and smart contracts, working closely with the tech lead, project manager, and product manager to gather requirements and plan milestones — co-creating the plan rather than waiting for tickets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and implement a POC for transfer-agency workflows on Ethereum, with the flexibility to adapt to Solana or Canton based on your expertise - Collaborate closely with the tech lead, project manager, and product manager to gather requirements and plan milestones during onboarding - Deliver key documentation by day 30, including requirements gathering and milestone planning, to ensure alignment and clarity - Provide essential security deliverables by day 45, such as a threat model and testing plan, adhering to industry-standard security practices - Complete the initial POC by day 60 and deploy contracts on both testnet and mainnet by day 90, ensuring all security standards are met ROLE REQUIREMENTS - Minimum 5 years of professional software/blockchain development experience - Willing to relocate to Mangaluru, India (this is an in-office role) - Proficiency in Solidity and experience with Ethereum-based smart contract development - Experience building decentralized applications and DeFi apps, demonstrating a strong understanding of blockchain technology - Ability to gather requirements, plan milestones, and avoid project drift effectively - Openness to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving project needs - Treats smart-contract security as a first-class concern, not a post-hoc checklist — has read post-mortems of on-chain exploits and internalized them - Writes tests alongside the contract, and pushes back when a deadline threatens test coverage - Scopes aggressively on a greenfield POC — would rather ship a smaller, audited contract than a bigger one that isn't NICE TO HAVES - Familiarity with Solana and/or Canton - Experience with security tooling and practices, including threat modeling, audits, and systematic testing - Previous experience working in a collaborative team environment focused on blockchain and smart contracts BENEFITS - Competitive compensation based on experience - Opportunities for professional development and growth - A supportive team environment that encourages innovation and learning
