Head of Social

HEAD OF SOCIAL $150k – $180k • meaningful equity ABOUT NOVIG Novig is building America's #1 sports prediction market. Our mission is to financialize and democratize sports trading - taking a closed system run by casinos and turning it into a fair, efficient, two-sided market where the power sits with users. With Novig recently becoming a CFTC-designated market — the fastest designation of its kind in US history— we're bringing the prediction market built for sports fans nationwide. We're backed by some of Silicon Valley's top investors — Pantera, Forerunner, Lux, NFX, Paul Graham, and Joe Montana — who have collectively invested over $100M behind this vision. ABOUT THE ROLE Novig is building the leading sports prediction market in America — and we're doing it by creating digital content that dominates the feeds of sports fans. We're looking for a Head of Social to own how Novig sounds, looks, and shows up everywhere people already are – social feeds, FYP, comments, DMs. This role spans content, editorial, and community, and it's the difference between a brand people scroll past and one they screenshot. You'll set the voice, build the content engine, and know instantly which cultural moment or trend is worth jumping on and which isn't worth the caption. That means shipping hourly, not daily — building a team and a system that can react in real-time while still compounding into something that looks and feels unmistakably Novig. This isn't a “calendar-and-approvals” role. It's for someone who can write the post, brief the edit, and ship it themselves before handing it off, if required - someone who thinks like a creator first and a manager second. WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU WILL DO - Own Novig's social content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Meta, Reddit, and Discord, setting the editorial direction and the content pillars the team builds against - Be the nucleus of the brand on the front lines. You hold the voice, the taste, and the standard, and you make sure everything that goes out feels like Novig and nothing else - Manage and develop the team of internal social sports journalists, producers, and contributors. Set priorities, give real feedback, raise the bar on what ships - Run a consistent editorial cadence, planning sessions, series mapping, format ideation, so the team always knows what is next and why - Read performance across platforms and formats and turn it into clear calls on what to scale and what to cut - Jump into execution when the moment demands it. Live events, breaking news, a trend that needs a same day turn - Build with Design and Creative to extend the Novig design system across every brand channel - Work with Partnerships to bring creators, affiliates, pro teams, and collaborators into the content itself, not just the caption - Own and evolve the social tech stack, data feeds, alerts, automations, workflows, so the team stays fast and the work lands in front of the right people - Turn wins into repeatable playbooks so growth comes from systems - Help architect original programming, series and franchises with a real point of view, that make Novig a name in sports and internet culture instead of a brand posting inside it WHY WORK HERE, IN THE WORDS OF THE PEOPLE WHO DO “I work with extremely stellar people, I own real systems, and decisions happen fast. No politics, no waiting for needless red tape. If something's broken, I fix it. If I build something good, it ships.” “The people! They're smart, thoughtful, fun to work with and passionate about their craft.” “I'm having the most fun I've had in my entire career.” If you want responsibility, trust, and the chance to help build the future of sports prediction markets - take your shot, we’d love to connect. NOT FOR EVERYONE - Our work is tied to live sports - that means potential nights, weekends, and pressure included. - If you need clear swim lanes, a heavy process, or someone to tell you what to do, this won’t be the right environment.
