Centered on individual patients, Ortet connects the biological, clinical, operational, and financial dimensions of care so intelligence continuously improves for every patient and delivers predictably better care. Ortet is a founding-stage company in New York City, and we work in person. You will join as one of the first members of a small, high-impact team and build Ortet together with us. ABOUT THE TEAM Intelligence Platform builds and operates Ortet’s scientific and engineering capabilities. We own the compute that trains and serves our models, the data we acquire and generate, and the software that brings AI into health systems. We make Ortet reliable, secure and worthy of the trust that patients, providers and researchers give it. As we grow, our scope will extend into experimentation and automation, creating new ways to generate the evidence health AI needs. We are hiring across software engineering, ML infrastructure, data science and engineering, security, and applied and forward-deployed engineering. ABOUT THE ROLE As an early hire, you will shape the platform’s technical direction, choosing the problems and approaches that push Ortet forward. You will build and own core capabilities, from initial design through deployment and operation, and help set our standards for engineering quality and security. You will work directly with healthcare partners and researchers to turn ambitious ideas into capabilities they can trust. This is a broad role, depending on strengths and interest you could work on: - Compute and ML infrastructure: Scale Kubernetes clusters, keep thousands of GPUs productive, and build reliable infrastructure for training and serving models. - Data and experimentation: Build pipelines for clinical and biological data, preserve quality and provenance, and extend into experimental workflows and automation as we grow. - Software and deployment: Build applications, APIs, and developer tools, and deploy them within healthcare organizations, from first integration through daily production use. - Security and privacy: Design how sensitive data is accessed, isolated, and audited; protect our infrastructure and models; and build privacy into how we collect, use, and share data.
