People Operations Specialist | Spanish Market | (Barcelona)

Lexroom http://lexroom.ai is building the AI platform where legal work gets done. In just over two years, we've grown from zero to €25M ARR, and today more than 20,000 legal professionals across Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Bulgaria rely on Lexroom http://lexroom.ai. We're backed by $73M from Left Lane Capital, Base10 Partners, and Eurazeo, and we're a team of around 300 builders who move fast, say things straight, and own each outcome. Our next goal? Become Europe's most-used legal product. WHY LEXROOM http://lexroom.ai? - Shape the Standard: Be part of the team setting the benchmark for legal AI in Europe. - Work with the Best: Collaborate with exceptional colleagues in a culture that values competence, curiosity, and ambition. - Deliver Meaningful Results: Your work will directly influence how legal professionals operate—faster, clearer, and more efficiently. At Lexroom http://lexroom.ai, we leave buzzwords behind. Here, you’ll build something that lasts: a trusted platform, a strong reputation, a new standard for the legal world. THE ROLE As a People Operations Specialist for Spain, you will be the person our Madrid/Barcelona teams turn to. You will own the operational side of the employee experience, from the first contract to the monthly payroll, and make sure everything runs accurately, compliantly and without friction as we grow. We are expanding fast across Europe, and Spain is one of our key markets. You will join the People team at a pivotal moment, building the foundations our Spanish team will scale on. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Be the go-to person for People in Spain: become the trusted local reference for our Madrid and Barcelona teams, answering requests with speed and clarity, and knowing when to say no. - Own the employee lifecycle end to end: from contracts to onboarding to benefits, make every step accurate, compliant and smooth. - Keep the engine running: own payroll inputs and people data, working with our external partners to deliver accuracy you can count on, month after month. - Build a compliance foundation that scales: partner with our legal advisors to put the right standards in place for Spain as our headcount grows. - Automate what slows us down: use AI, HiBob and data to cut manual work and build the dashboards that help the People team decide faster. WHAT YOU’LL BRING - 1-3 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations or as an HR Generalist, with hands-on work on contracts, onboarding and payroll (we care more about aptitude and drive than tenure). - Solid Spanish employment basics: you know Spanish labor law fundamentals and have handled contracts, onboarding and resignations first hand, ideally with payroll run through an external provider. - Comfortable with data and AI: you're at home in an HRIS, and you instinctively spot the repetitive task you could automate. - Organized and detail-oriented: you can manage recurring deadlines, like monthly payroll, without letting anything slip. - Proactive and resilient: you reach out before a customer has to complain. - Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written: Spanish (native) and English (fluent, C1+). Italian is a plus, but not mandatory. - Optional but a bonus: familiarity with HiBob or similar HR and payroll tools; interest in the legal industry (no legal background required). GROWTH PATH This role is built on depth and ownership, not on a ladder. As our Spanish team grows and new geographies open, your scope grows with it: you will help set the standard for how People Operations runs in a new market, work alongside a new Head of People Operations, and build in-demand expertise in payroll, compliance and automation. WHAT SETS US APART An Exceptional Team At Lexroom http://lexroom.ai, you’ll work alongside top talent in tech and legal AI. Our focused teams operate with purpose and autonomy, so every contribution delivers visible results. You’ll collaborate with people who pair innovation with rigor, curiosity with discipline, ambition with depth. Growth that Matters We hire exceptional people to make a difference—and we give them space to lead. Your work will shape the future of legal technology and set new standards for the field. Impact is defined by vision and execution, not by age or title. If you’re ready to take responsibility, you’ll find real opportunities to grow and lead high-stakes projects. REWARDING YOUR CONTRIBUTION We value excellence and share success: - Annual Salary Range: €26,000-€34,000 RAL - Equity Package: Align your growth with the company’s long-term success. BENEFITS THAT MATTER - Hybrid Work: Flexibility to balance remote work with in-person collaboration at our Barcelona HQ - Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage to ensure peace of mind. - Meal Vouchers: Daily support to make your lunch breaks easier. - Team Retreats & Off-sites: Dedicated time to connect, collaborate, and spark bold ideas.
