About the role
At Verda, we're building a full-stack AI cloud, covering everything from data centers and hardware to our own cloud platform that the world's leading AI teams use to do serious AI work.
We strive to make a positive mark on the world through the infrastructure we build and give leading teams a service they can truly depend on. Headquartered in Helsinki, we operate globally with offices in London and San Francisco.
Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished.
WHY VERDA
- Cash and equity compensation along with local benefits.
- 40+ nationalities, with 6 different ones on the management team.
- A real chance to make an impact and work alongside world class engineers, researchers, and partners across the global AI ecosystem.
THE ROLE
We're one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe, and growth at this pace generates a dangerous amount of data: revenue run ramps, GPU utilization, capacity projections, unit economics, sales and marketing funnels, product usage. Every team is asking for numbers, and every number has to actually mean something.
That's where you come in. As our Senior Data Analyst, you make sense of how the business performs across very different product lines, going deepest on R&D and revenue, and put that understanding in front of the people making the calls. Some of that is analysis. Some of it is improving what the business already runs on: the dashboards and tools behind the numbers, and the unified, reliable reporting you own together with data engineering and GTM systems.
This doesn't start from zero. The warehouse is in use, teams run on existing dashboards, and the rhythm of reviews, goals, and deep dives already depends on analytics. Your job is to advance it to next level: keep the work efficient, set the standards, and build what's still missing as we grow. We are looking for someone who reads that as an opportunity, not a warning.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Leverage large data sets to derive insights that inform business decisions, focusing on the business, product and operational performance across multiple distinct product lines
- Gain in-depth knowledge of Verda's business operations, with a special focus on R&D and revenue strategies.
- Communicate effectively with business leaders to influence strategic decision-making, presenting complex data in a consumable format.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams, contributing to strategic initiatives with data insights and strategic recommendations.
- Conceptualize, develop, and maintain centralized tools and dashboards for data extraction and business management.
- Collaborate and build together with data engineering and GTM systems teams to integrate diverse data sources, ensuring the creation and maintenance of reliable, unified reports
- Set the analytics operating standards across the company: documentation, data-quality checks, review practices, and how analytics work gets prioritized.
- Support analytical rhythms of the business through regular reviews, goal setting, and deep dives.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in analytics & data analysis, including ownership of company-level metrics or KPI systems.
- Strong skills in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including content analysis, hypothesis testing, cluster analysis, and statistical techniques.
- Fluency with BI tooling (Looker, Metabase, Tableau, or equivalent) and with telling a decision-ready narrative instead of just shipping charts.
- Working Python skills for analysis and automation, comfortable in notebooks, scripts, and version control.
- Business understanding across cloud products, finance, sales, and marketing.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical content to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to initiate and complete analytical projects independently.
- Action-oriented with a natural curiosity for detail and a strong analytical mindset.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in usage-based pricing businesses: utilization, capacity, and margin analysis
- Hands-on dbt or a semantic-layer / metrics-store setup
- Experience building AI-assisted analytics workflows from 0 to 1
- People-leadership ambitions
PRACTICALITIES
- Location: London, UK
- Work arrangement: hybrid, 3 days per week in our office
- Employment type: Full-time and permanent
