Senior People Partner - GTM

Orbital is the AI platform for real estate legal work. Real estate shapes the world around us: our homes, our workplaces and our cultural landmarks. It’s the infrastructure that powers everyday life and is the world's largest asset class. Yet behind every single deal, real estate and legal teams work hard to navigate decades-old complexity; manually connecting documents, hidden obligations, geo-spatial context, and multiple parties into a path forward. We connect the legal and physical record, so that path is clearer than ever before. Our mission is to make real estate transactions faster, clearer, and less manual. Here, you'll be part of changing how the deals behind the largest asset class get transacted, and will help shape the future of real estate. A bit about us: 🚀 We’re building at the forefront of AI technology, without losing the deeply human expertise our clients depend on. 🏢 Orbital is built with former practising real estate lawyers and 250+ years of combined legal expertise. We're purpose-built for the complexity of real estate: accelerating due diligence, drafting and negotiation, and deal coordination with legal-grade precision. 💰 We've just raised a $60m Series B, led by Brighton Park Capital, to accelerate our global expansion – $75m raised to date. 🤝 We're trusted by 5,000+ real estate professionals, spanning UK Magic Circle and US Am Law 100 firms, to household names like M&S. Leading firms like BCLP, Orrick, Goodwin, Womble Bond Dickinson and Clifford Chance rely on Orbital to remove the busywork, freeing legal and real estate teams to focus on sharp judgment, standout client service, and closing deals faster. 💡 Working at Orbital means joining a bold, ambitious team, with the trust to take ownership and make a real impact from day one. Orbital is building the AI technology powering the future of enterprise legal work. We're growing fast, and we need a Senior People Partner who wants to help us get this right from the ground up. This isn't a maintain-the-machine role. You'll be the first People hire in the US, partnering with our GTM leadership while also owning the design and build of people solutions that actually scale. Strategy and execution. Influence and craft. Both, in the same role. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING You'll sit across two layers of how our People function operates: Partner and Product. - As a Partner, you'll work closely with our go-to-market managers, coaching them through performance, team health, and people challenges, and building the kind of trusted relationships that give you real signal on what needs fixing. - As a Product builder, you'll take those insights and turn them into scalable solutions: frameworks, enablement tools, programs, and processes that don't just solve the immediate problem but grow with the business. Your early focus will include manager capability, performance enablement, and building out the US-specific foundations of our People stack, including compliance, leave administration, and multi-state employment. But you'll help shape the roadmap, not just inherit one. YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU - Have strong People Partnering experience, ideally supporting GTM, Sales or Commercial teams - Know US employment law well: FLSA, FMLA, Title VII, ADA, multi-state compliance, at-will - Think like a product manager: you diagnose before you design, and you measure what you ship - Are energised by ambiguity and building from scratch, not navigating existing bureaucracy - Bring both the strategic thinking and the hands-on drive to see things through - Are curious about AI and technology and actively look for ways to work smarter - Experience in high-growth tech or legaltech; OTE and variable comp exposure; any UK employment law familiarity. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING - $165,000-$185,000 base salary depending on experience, plus equity, 401k match, and comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage. - Hybrid role: 2 days in our New York office. Generous PTO, parental leave, commuter benefits, and a personal development budget. - You'll be joining at the moment it matters, early enough to shape how the US function is built, with the backing of an experienced London-based team behind you. THE PROCESS 1. Screening call (60 min) 2. Hiring Manager call (60 min) 3. Take-home task 4. Panel discussion and Culture conversation (90 min) 5. Reporting risks or incidents quickly helps us maintain the strong culture of security and compliance we all depend on. 💡 At Orbital, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We especially welcome applications from people who are traditionally underrepresented in tech. Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, or if the right role isn’t listed yet, we’d still love to hear from you. 💰 This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
