About the role We're looking for a Growth Marketing Lead, Performance to own paid acquisition and drive broader growth in the business. As a member of a lean and hands-on team, you'll manage our entire paid portfolio across paid social, search, and emerging channels, and work closely with the Head of Marketing to continue building and scaling Garage’s growth machine. The ideal candidate is someone who balances analytical rigor with the understanding that the biggest growth drivers happen outside the ad account. - Own Garage’s paid acquisition strategy and execution across paid social, paid search, and emerging channels, with accountability for pipeline, revenue growth, and efficiency. - Scale acquisition efficiently by balancing growth, CAC, and overall marketplace health. Understand what changes at scale and make disciplined decisions around where to invest. - Test and learn, constantly. You will develop hypotheses, test, and iterate fast. You’ll orchestrate landing page and conversion rate tests, analyze creative performance, and think creatively about new ways to acquire customers efficiently. - Measure rigorously, act intuitively. You read between the lines and see the bigger picture in the numbers. You understand incrementality, multi-touch attribution, and test design, yet are comfortable navigating when data is incomplete or ambiguous. - Work cross-functionally to identify and unlock growth opportunities beyond paid acquisition, partnering closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing. What we’re looking for - You love the energy of a high-growth environment where every day looks a little different - You like to go deep on performance marketing but can think and work like a generalist - You have good judgment, high integrity, and a no-task-too-small mindset Required - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university - 4+ years owning meaningful paid acquisition budgets in a high-growth startup or technology company - Demonstrated success scaling paid social and search programs while maintaining efficiency - Are T-Shaped: deep and hands-on in paid, and genuinely versatile across the growth mix — you've owned or can credibly own adjacent levers (CRO, partnerships, web experiments) - Are rigorous about measurement and can tell real incremental growth from vanity metrics - Have strong creative instincts and can direct high-velocity creative testing by briefing a creative team well - Thrive as a player-coach on a small team — in the accounts yourself, leading a teammate, holding vendors accountable, etc. Nice to have - Experience scaling marketplace businesses - Have built and scaled accounts from scratch Our Values - Take Big Swings. We are here to transform an overlooked industry—not make small improvements around the edges. We set ambitious goals, take calculated risks, and push through setbacks. We never trade lasting impact for short-term comfort. - Customers Come First. Our customers operate in an industry burdened by slow, expensive, and outdated processes. We attack the problems that cost them the most and measure our success by the time and money we give back to them. - Play For the Front of the Jersey. We put the mission ahead of ourselves. We challenge each other directly, support each other relentlessly, and step up whenever the team needs us. We win together, and we have fun doing it. - All Gas, No Ego. Building something that matters takes relentless effort. We move fast, take ownership, and see hard problems through. When we fall short, we own it, learn quickly, and come back stronger.   Why Join Garage? - Do work that matters.
