And we’re looking for bold innovators to help shape the future of business finance in Canada. AI USE IN OUR HIRING PROCESS We use technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support parts of our hiring process. This may include AI-assisted scheduling and candidate communications, and AI-generated interview notes, guides or summaries to help our team focus on the conversation. All hiring decisions are made by our hiring team. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re hiring a Head of Product Marketing to lead the function responsible for helping customers understand, adopt, and get more value from Float’s growing multi-product platform across the full customer journey. You’ll report to the SVP GTM Strategy & Marketing and lead a team spanning product marketing, lifecycle marketing, and customer marketing, with a mandate that spans acquisition, launch support, product adoption and usage. This is a high-impact role at the core of the business. It offers the opportunity to refine Float’s product narrative, strengthen adoption across the customer lifecycle, and enable Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to more effectively communicate and deliver the platform’s value. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Refine Float’s positioning and messaging so the multi-product platform story lands clearly across target audiences and ongoing launches. - Build pre- and post-sale programs that improve product adoption and help customers realize more value across the customer journey. - Partner with Product on launches, readiness, and activation so new products and features translate into customer understanding and usage. - Equip Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing with messaging, playbooks, collateral, and activation tools that improve field effectiveness and adoption outcomes. - Build customer programs such as advocacy and advisory motions that strengthen product adoption and the broader commercial flywheel. - Use data, experimentation, and customer insight to evolve positioning, lifecycle strategy, and adoption programs over time. - Lead and develop a high-performing team with high standards for ownership, clarity, speed, and modern AI-enabled workflows. ABOUT YOU HERE’S WHAT SETS YOU UP FOR SUCCESS AT FLOAT:  - You Put Customers First, Always. You anchor strategy in real customer pain, understanding, and value realization. You care about whether customers actually adopt and use what the business builds. - You Act Like an Owner. You are comfortable owning outcomes, not just functions. You make hard prioritization calls, move quickly in ambiguity, and do what is best for the business. - You Think Big and Move Fast. You can shape the longer-term product narrative while still building the systems, playbooks, and programs that move adoption now. - You Constantly Learn and Grow. You are a strong market sensor who updates positioning, messaging, and strategy as evidence changes. You are practical and curious about how AI can improve leverage and quality in your work. - You Raise the Bar. You hold a high quality threshold for strategy, execution, and talent. You do not settle for polished activity that does not move the business. - You Win as a Team. You build trust and clarity across Product, Sales, CS, and Marketing. You can influence without authority and make cross-functional work better, not heavier. IN ADDITION TO LIVING OUR VALUES... - 8+ years of relevant experience across product marketing, customer marketing, lifecycle, enablement, monetization, or adjacent growth work in B2B SaaS, fintech, or transaction-based businesses, with meaningful leadership scope. - Direct ownership of measurable outcomes such as acquisition, adoption, expansion, retention, competitive performance, enablement uptake, or other commercial metrics. - Strong product marketing craft across positioning, messaging, launches, enablement, and customer / field activation, with evidence that your work changed behavior or results. - Experience building systems, not just campaigns including pre-sale and post-sale motions that helped internal teams and customers understand what to do next. - Data fluency and experimentation discipline with comfort using analytics, research, and operating judgment to refine strategy over time. - Practical AI workflow integration with examples of using AI to accelerate research, synthesis, experimentation, or content iteration while keeping judgment human-led. - Leadership and cross-functional credibility with a track record of coaching teams, aligning stakeholders, and raising the quality bar around you. THIS MAY NOT BE THE ROLE FOR YOU IF: - You have strong launch or PMM experience but little direct accountability for acquisition, adoption, expansion, retention, or other measurable business outcomes. - You prefer well-established playbooks and stable scope over ambiguity, experimentation, and building new systems from scratch. - You are highly strategic but do not enjoy driving execution details, enablement, or cross-functional follow-through. - You struggle with direct feedback, healthy conflict, or high-ownership team environments. - You are not data-fluent or do not use evidence to sharpen priorities and programs over time. - You treat AI as optional, superficial, or someone else’s job rather than a meaningful source of leverage in modern GTM work. OUR HIRING PHILOSOPHY We hire for character, curiosity, and learning velocity before credentials. Titles matter less than impact, and every hire is expected to raise the bar for Float as a whole. WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN - Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies - Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role - Collaborate with an ambitious and supportive team - Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits - Hybrid work model – we are based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration - Enjoy catered team lunches every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - Bring your pup to our dog-friendly office - Thrive in a high-trust, high-performance culture where your work truly matters   IN SHORT At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make a real impact. We're building something special—and having a lot of fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you.   We’re committed to building a workplace that’s welcoming and accessible for everyone.
