Growth Marketing Manager

ABOUT MANTLE We’re building an AI agent to help families support their aging parents (origin story here https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7358605175294496768/).   Over 40M “sandwich generation” Americans currently manage their parent’s affairs. Keeping mom/dad safe and supported is like a second job: it’s time-consuming, stressful and on top of their already busy lives. We believe that managing our parents’ affairs should feel under control, easier and lower stress.   Co-founded by serial entrepreneur partners including Ted Zagat https://www.linkedin.com/in/tedzagat, who sold his previous businesses to Slack (announcement here https://slack.com/blog/news/slack-acquisition-connecting-employees) and Google (Zagat restaurant guides). THE ROLE We are looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to help bring Mantle to millions of families. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves the full funnel: getting the right people to discover Mantle, turning them into happy members, and making sure they stick around and tell their friends. You will work side-by-side with our founders and marketing team to find the growth levers that work. This is a role for a builder. In the early days, growth is about high-velocity experimentation. It's not just about strategy; it's about the unglamorous work of setting up tracking, writing and rewriting onboarding emails, running dozens of small tests and reading the data honestly. You'll be the one doing the manual work today so we can build the growth engine of tomorrow. WHAT YOU'LL BUILD - Experimentation engine: Design, run and learn from a steady cadence of growth experiments across the funnel. - Activation and onboarding: Improve how new families get started and reach their first moment of value with Mantle. - Lifecycle marketing: Build the email, SMS and in-app journeys that drive engagement, conversion and retention. - Referral and word of mouth: Turn happy families into our best growth channel. - Organic acquisition: Develop early SEO, partnership and community channels that compound over time. - Growth analytics: Establish the dashboards and metrics that tell us what's working. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - 3+ years of growth marketing experience, ideally at a consumer startup or high-growth company - Track record of running experiments that measurably improved acquisition, activation or retention - Hands-on experience with lifecycle marketing tools (e.g. Customer.io http://Customer.io, Braze, Iterable) and product analytics (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel) - Strong analytical skills, with comfort in spreadsheets and SQL - AI adept: savvy with AI tools (LLMs, agents) to increase your own personal leverage IDEAL BACKGROUND - Early-stage startup experience where you wore many hats - Experience growing a moderate-to-high consideration consumer product (e.g. a subscription or financial product) - Experience working closely with product and engineering on onboarding and in-product growth - Strong instinct for messaging that resonates with busy adults - Nice to have, but not required: experience with FinTech WHO THRIVES HERE - Builders: You love creating things from scratch and taking full ownership - Data-driven: You let results, not opinions, decide what we do next - Scrappy: You operate well without a lot of structure or resources and find ways to "get it done" - Founder-minded: You think like an owner and care deeply about company outcomes - AI-forward: You embrace modern AI - Autonomous: You thrive with minimal direction - Mission-driven: You care about what we're building WHAT YOU'LL GET - Meaningful work: Grow a consumer product that will make a real difference in the lives of millions of families, with fast pace and huge financial potential - Small team impact: Work directly with founders and see immediate impact from your work - Partnership with founders: Work closely with Mantle's co-founders and other company leaders - Learning & growth: Opportunity to build a category-defining company from the ground up - Real ownership: Your decisions will shape our product, business and culture - Remote Fridays: Work from home every Friday. Monday through Thursday, we build together in person in San Francisco
