MISSION The Relationship Manager’s mission is to drive incremental growth within a portfolio of ~75 selected parent accounts by identifying and closing expansion opportunities across existing customers and their subsidiaries. Working in close partnership with Key Account Managers (KAMs) and dedicated SDRs, the Relationship Manager owns the expansion sales process and co-owns renewals, creating a coordinated customer experience while building relationships with senior decision-makers and uncovering new teams, use cases and opportunities for growth. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - Deliver against Expansion GMV and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) targets. - Own expansion on a focused portfolio of ~75 existing customer accounts, prioritising where there is room to grow: new teams, new use cases, upsell potential. - Co-own renewals with KAMs across the portfolio, identifying upsell opportunities and driving them through to close. - Own the expansion sales process end to end: identifying and qualifying opportunities, discovery, commercial conversations and closing. - Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, including C-level executives. - Develop and maintain account plans and stakeholder maps across parent accounts and relevant subsidiaries, in partnership with KAMs. - Manage the renewal upsell and expansion pipeline, keeping opportunity data and forecasts accurate and tracking progress against targets. - Lead executive business reviews alongside KAMs to align on customer objectives, demonstrate value and uncover future growth. - Partner closely with dedicated SDRs to coordinate prospecting and expansion activity within the portfolio. KAMs keep owning the core relationship and renewal; you own the expansion play. - Help shape and improve the expansion playbook as one of the first two people in the role, sharing learnings with KAM and SDR partners. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED - Proven B2B sales experience with a demonstrated record of performance, ideally in expansion and/or enterprise selling. - A hunter’s drive combined with a relationship builder’s patience: you open new doors and earn the trust to be invited back. - Confidence and credibility engaging senior stakeholders, including C-level executives. - Experience navigating complex, multi-entity organisations: identifying decision-makers and influencers across subsidiaries, countries and functions. - Strong prospecting and discovery skills, with the ability to uncover new teams, use cases and opportunities within existing customers, not just net-new. - Strategic account thinking: you can prioritise a large portfolio with incomplete information and build a clear plan per account. - Ability to manage opportunities end to end and maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast. - Strong cross-functional collaboration: you work as much through KAMs, SDRs and other teams as through your own pipeline, and protect the existing relationship while you grow it. GROWTH OPPORTUNITY As one of the first Relationship Managers, you’ll help shape how Preply approaches expansion within existing customer accounts. The role gives exposure to complex commercial opportunities, senior customer relationships, cross-functional account strategy and the development of a new expansion motion alongside KAM and SDR partners. It offers the chance to deepen capabilities in networking, stakeholder management, project management, prospecting and in-depth discovery.
