Customer Success Associate

Voltus represents the potential of us to better manage energy through simple, cost and risk-free demand response programs. Our commercial and industrial customers earn cash by letting us maximize the value of their operational flexibility in energy markets. We hire people who are bright, gritty, and good, who care about a cleaner energy future, and who want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.   The Role As a Customer Success Associate, you get new customer sites into the energy market and ready to perform so they start earning. You own the project management of onboarding from signed contract to a live site, which means keeping data collection, registrations, hardware installation, and testing moving across Sales, Field Engineering, Market Operations, and Dispatch Operations. Our goal is to get sites live in under 100 days. You are the main point of contact for the customer along the way, and you set expectations early about what participating in the program will actually ask of their site team. Onboarding is where you start, not where you stop. You stay on as part of the account team for as long as the customer is with us, supporting dispatch events, registrations, and seasonal updates. Sales Directors own the commercial relationship and renewals, and this role has no quota. You’ll be assigned to a regional sales team of about four Sales Directors and may support more than one market. What You'll Do • Run onboarding projects end to end and keep every site’s status current and visible • Work day to day with site contacts, operations leads, and energy champions on curtailment plans, documentation, and installation • Hand off cleanly to and from Sales, Field Engineering, Market Ops, and Dispatch Ops so nothing stalls between teams • Support customers through dispatch events and follow up when a site underperforms • Spot the sticking points in onboarding and fix them, whether that’s a better handoff, a clearer template, or a tighter way of tracking What makes someone great at this • 2+ years in a customer-facing role like customer success, onboarding or implementation, account management, or project management • A track record of owning projects with many moving parts and many stakeholders, and keeping them organized and current • Comfort being the face of the company to customers, including setting expectations that aren’t always what they hoped to hear • Persistence and diplomacy when you need people on other teams to move without having authority over them • A habit of improving the process instead of just working inside it • Real excitement about this role as it is, not as a stepping stone, and a genuine interest in the energy transition • Experience in Salesforce or a similar CRM, plus Google Workspace and Excel Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description).   Additionally, while Voltus is an all-remote workplace, we have limitations on where employees are able to work for regulatory and security reasons. We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country. Working while traveling to other countries must be approved as per our Global Remote Travel Policy.   At Voltus, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer because we recognize that a diverse organization begins with a diverse candidate pool. This means we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of your gender identity, race, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability status, or marital status.
