Founding Content Marketing Manager

About Hyphenate Every company runs on finance, and finance still runs on people, spreadsheets and month-end fire drills. The most strategic team in the business spends most of its time producing numbers instead of acting on them. Hyphenate is making finance run itself. We build AI agents that do the work of an entire finance team, from billing and collections to closing the books and reporting to the board. They sit on top of the systems a company already runs, with no rules to write and no prompts to engineer. They learn how each team works, escalate only the decisions that need a human, and get better with every one. We believe every finance team will run this way within the decade, and we’re building the platform they’ll run on. It’s already happening. HiBid runs its entire revenue process on Hyphenate across $2.5B+ in transactions. Kiteworks runs 98% of its cash transactions with zero errors and no human touch; the rest get escalated. We’ve grown 86x year over year, been covered in TechCrunch, Forbes and Business Insider, and are about to announce a massive Series A. Former Microsoft executives Ram Krishnamurthy and Ajay Krishna Amudan founded Hyphenate in 2023, and we’re headquartered in New York. We’re backed by Foundation Capital, Gaia Ventures and BoldCap, along with angels from OpenAI, Perplexity, Microsoft, Zuora and more. We’re still a small team, and the people who join now will define what autonomous finance becomes. About the Role Your job is to make Hyphenate the voice finance leaders actually read on autonomous finance. The category is being defined right now, and most of what’s published is generic AI hype or vendor content written around a single point solution. Hyphenate has a different point of view, and in-house finance experts to back it up. You’ll build the publishing engine and the point of view behind it, so that when a finance leader, or the AI assistant they ask, wants to know where autonomous finance is going, the answer comes from Hyphenate. What You’ll Do - Own the content roadmap and SEO/AEO plan, with a fast monthly cadence of blog articles and pillar content such as guides and tools. - Publish in-depth playbooks like Hyphenate’s revenue-recognition playbook, original research reports, and customer case studies such as the HiBid and Kiteworks stories. - Build and run the webinar program, and create content for Hyphenate’s speaking sessions with the Events & Field Marketing hire. - Grow organic search traffic and get Hyphenate cited as a source in AI-assistant answers about autonomous finance. You’ll be measured on both. - Build a bench of vendors and contractors, including CPA writers and an SEO agency, as the program proves itself. - Move fast and keep the bar high. We’d rather publish fewer, deeper pieces, so filler ebooks and generic guides don’t ship. - Work closely with the VP of Marketing on brand tone, key messages and how Hyphenate wants to be perceived. What We’re Looking For - 5-8+ years of experience in content marketing, ideally at a B2B SaaS or tech company. - You’ve given a company a point of view the market recognized as its own, and you’re willing to argue for it. - You plan before you write, get stakeholders aligned on the roadmap, and are a strong writer and editor yourself. - You’ve run an SEO program and can explain what moved rankings and what didn’t. - Curious about how finance teams work. You’d sit with a Controller for an hour and come back with something worth publishing. - Experience marketing to accountants or CFOs. A CPA or finance practitioner background, or hands-on fintech content experience, is ideal. - Comfortable enough with accounting concepts (revenue recognition, close, reconciliations) to check expert-drafted content for accuracy and depth. Nice to haves - You’ve grown an organic channel from near zero into a steady source of pipeline at an early-stage B2B company, and can share the numbers. - AEO or AI-discoverability experience, or a track record of writing about AI for a skeptical professional audience. - You’ve managed freelancers or an agency and kept quality steady as volume grew. - Experience at, or writing for, finance-software companies such as BlackLine, Trintech, FloQast, Diligent, Workiva, Numeric or Campfire.
