Product Manager - Core Product

WHAT IS KALSHI? Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more. We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position. - Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet. - Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets. Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets. ROLE ROADMAP The core trading experience is where Kalshi’s promise becomes real: understanding a market, placing a trade, and managing a position. Every detail matters, from how an event page explains an outcome to how clearly a trader can see what they own. We’re looking for a Product Manager to own these experiences across Kalshi’s app, classic web, and Pro platforms. You’ll also own the product experience for non-sports categories, starting with commodities and expanding across finance, politics, and other markets. Your job is to understand what traders in each category need and build experiences that make it easier to start trading and keep coming back. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership. You’ll set the roadmap, work closely with engineering and design, ship improvements, and measure their impact. Over time, you’ll lead a broader rework of portfolio management, shape how Pro serves more advanced traders, and build a repeatable approach to launching and growing categories. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Improve event pages, order entry, trading mechanics, and portfolio and position management so customers can understand markets and trade with confidence. - Own the category roadmap, starting with commodities. Develop a deep understanding of each audience, improve market pages and category-specific experiences, and partner with markets and growth teams on launches. - Spend time with traders, review support feedback, and use product data to identify where customers get confused or drop off. Prioritize the biggest problems and follow through from discovery to launch. - Close gaps across the app, classic web, and Pro. Decide which experiences should be consistent and where advanced traders need different capabilities. - Help traders understand their positions, track performance, and take action through clear, intuitive product experiences. - Develop and test experiences such as alerts, watchlists, and recurring markets that support ongoing engagement within non-sports categories. - Define category and product metrics, build dashboards with analytics partners, and run experiments to understand what improves trading conversion, engagement, and retention. - Work closely with engineering, design, markets and operations, support, and compliance. Make clear decisions, resolve tradeoffs, and stay involved in the details through QA and release. WHAT YOU BRING - You’ve shipped customer-facing products and understand what makes a consumer app intuitive, useful, and worth returning to. - You can spot confusing interactions, simplify complex workflows, and partner with designers to turn a good idea into a great experience. - You can take an ambiguous problem, define what matters, set priorities, and personally drive the work through launch and iteration. - You understand how traders think about markets and positions, ideally with familiarity across commodities and macro, and can speak credibly about what these customers need. - You’re comfortable using data, customer research, and experiments to diagnose problems, make decisions, and measure whether a change worked. - You move quickly, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and care about the small details that determine whether a product works well. - You can align teams around a problem, explain your decisions, and work through technical, operational, and compliance constraints. BONUS - Experience building trading, investing, prediction market, or consumer financial products. - Firsthand use of trading or sports betting products, with a clear point of view on what makes their customer experiences work. - Experience owning products across mobile and web, building tools for advanced users, or launching and growing new product categories. NYC PAY TRANSPARENCY DISCLOSURE Salary Range: $150,000-$250,000 annually plus equity and benefits. This salary range is based on the current available market data, and represents the expected salary range for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and few titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles. Should you have compensation expectations that exceed these bands, we'd love to hear from you and would welcome you to reach out to further discuss. OUR CULTURE Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. We are committed to our vision of building something big… but also useful: a product that brings more truth through the power of markets. Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1. COMMITMENT TO EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Kalshi is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe it is our collective responsibility to uphold these values and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to join us in our mission. All qualified applicants will be treated with respect and receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, uniform service, veteran status, age, or any other protected characteristic per federal, state, or local law. If you are passionate about what you do and want to use your talents to support our mission and values, we’d love to hear from you.
