Senior Product Manager, Navigator

ABOUT GALLATIN At Gallatin, we are rebuilding logistics infrastructure for the national security missions of the United States and allied partners. We build AI systems that determine how logistics decisions are made — not just how they're executed. From factory to foxhole, we operate at the layer where data becomes decisions, and decisions make the advantage. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the theater tier of Navigator, our core sustainment decision support product, supporting logistics planning and decision-making across senior Joint and Service commands. This role focuses on the theater-wide sustainment decisions that connect operational requirements, available resources, and command priorities. You will own the roadmap for this tier end to end, from discovery with theater logistics planners through release and real adoption inside operational commands. You will work directly with Joint and Service logistics staffs, program offices, engineering, design, and our leadership team, and you will be accountable for whether what we ship improves how theater sustainment decisions get made. This role demands business acumen and a deep understanding of the military customer. We are building for operators in the most demanding environments on earth, and the person in this seat translates that reality into product. WHAT YOU'LL DO The Navigator Theater Roadmap - Set priorities for the theater tier, make the trade-offs, and defend them to engineering, leadership, and the customer in a way that earns trust. - Decide what we build and, just as importantly, what we say no to, keeping the focus on the decisions that shape theater-wide sustainment. - Turn an ambitious multi-echelon vision into a sequenced roadmap with clear priorities, dependencies, and success metrics, balancing near-term customer needs with long-term product direction. Discovery With Theater Planners - Run discovery directly with theater logistics planners, Joint and Service logistics staffs, and program offices, in garrison and in the field. - Synthesize customer insights into clear product direction, tying priorities to mission outcomes. - Build a deep understanding of user workflows to uncover underlying needs and solve the right problems. Execution End to End - Own the product lifecycle from problem statement through release and adoption, working shoulder to shoulder with engineering and design through sprint planning, demos, and field feedback. - Know whether what shipped moved the mission and be honest when it didn't. Be the Voice of the Customer - Translate customer workflows, operational constraints, and fielding requirements into product priorities. - Make sure what we build fits how theater commands operate and shorten the distance between a good idea and a fielded capability. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 7+ years in product, with ownership of complex enterprise, defense, logistics, data, or AI products. - A track record of shipping major capabilities from discovery through adoption, not just launch. - Proficiency using AI in your own workflow and a track record of shipping AI-enabled capabilities. - Strong technical judgment around data quality, integrations, and AI limitations, with the ability to translate those constraints into product priorities and user trust. - Deep understanding of the Department of War: how it is organized, how it plans, how it buys, and what it takes to build and field software that gets used inside it. - Sharp written communication: product briefs, trade-off memos, and narratives that hold up under scrutiny. - Comfort working directly with senior stakeholders and end users, earning trust quickly with both. - Bias toward action in an environment where priorities shift as new mission and technical context emerges. - U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. BONUS POINTS - Background in sustainment, supply chain, theater logistics, or C2 and other operational decision-support domains. - Familiarity with Joint planning and sustainment doctrine at echelon (for example TPFDD and ULN structure, classes of supply, JP 4-0). - Experience supporting senior Joint or Service headquarters, or prior uniformed service. - Experience delivering software to government customers in deployed or operational environments. MISSION AND IDENTITY We are building the system that enables faster, smarter logistics decisions in contested environments, and we're doing it with a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, operators, and technologists who have built and scaled solutions in this space before. We hold ourselves to an extremely high standard. We value clear thinking, direct communication, and the kind of ownership that doesn't stop until something actually works. Our mission is to create decision advantage when the stakes are the highest. If we succeed, the system doesn't just run; it gets smarter. We're not building AI for its own sake. We're building it because faster, smarter decisions in the most demanding environments on earth can't wait. If you want to work somewhere the stakes are real and the mission is urgent — you'll fit in here. WHY GALLATIN? The logistics infrastructure that supports America's warfighters and humanitarian disaster responders is overdue for transformation, and we are building it. From defense operations to disaster response, we're solving the hardest problems that keep missions moving when it matters most. Join a team where the mission is the point.
