Maintenance Technician – Career Development Program

ABOUT MARIANA MINERALS Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making. We’re building modern mining and processing operations, and we’re looking for people who want to keep them running and grow with us. This is open to students who have finished a technical program or are about to, and to people with industrial or mechanical experience who are new to mining. Maintenance techs are the backbone of any mine site. It’s hands-on work with real equipment, new problems to solve every day, and skills that stay in demand across industries. Join early and you’ll learn from experienced techs, see how a modern operation comes together, and build a career with a company that’s just getting started. Program details are still coming together, but we’re connecting early with people who want to help build this team. What You Could Learn - Mechanical maintenance: pumps, conveyors, crushers, hydraulics, and heavy equipment - Electrical maintenance: motors, controls, VFDs, and instrumentation - Preventive maintenance and real-time troubleshooting across the mine and processing plant - Mine site safety, including MSHA training, lockout/tagout, arc flash (NFPA 70E), rigging, confined space, and working at heights Who Should Apply - Students in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance programs, and recent trade school or technical program grads - Welders, fabricators, heavy equipment operators, drillers, or facilities techs with a stable work history who want to build maintenance skills - Experienced mechanics, electricians, or military-trained techs looking to move into mining - Comfortable with hand and power tools (experience helps but isn’t required for students) What Makes You a Fit - You never cut corners to save time. You follow procedures, speak up when something doesn’t look right, and look out for the people around you. - You see a job through, own your mistakes, and keep pushing until the problem is actually fixed, even when the work is dirty or tough, or the weather isn’t cooperating. - You’re curious about how things work and always looking for a simpler, better way to do the job. You want to understand the systems, not just follow the steps. - You ask questions, share what you learn, and jump in wherever your crew needs you. You know the best work gets done together. Working Environment & Physical Requirements This is a mine site, and safety comes first every day. - Outdoor and industrial work with dust, loud noise, and weather from summer heat to winter cold - Required PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, high-vis clothing, and hearing protection, plus respirators and fall protection when needed - Following site safety rules at all times - Lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, working at heights, and entering confined spaces OUR CULTURE IS BUILT ON FOUR PRINCIPLES: Everyone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people. Extreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions. Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale. Share Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions. Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!
