Head of Sales, Legal

About Centari At Centari, we're transforming the world's contracts into actionable intelligence. Every firm has the same AI now. What separates them is institutional intelligence: how the firm has structured deals, priced risk, and navigated markets across every transaction it has closed. It's why a client picks one law firm over another, and why an LP backs one fund over the next. Today, this knowledge sits buried in closed deals and in the heads of the people who worked on them. Centari brings it to the surface as structured data that AI can act on, empowering companies to generate new revenue and see opportunities no one else can. The most demanding transactional practices in the world already build on Centari, including deal teams at Ropes & Gray, DLA Piper, Willkie, Fried Frank, and Wilson Sonsini. We proved it in law. Finance and the enterprise face the same problem at greater scale, and we're going after all of it. We raised an oversubscribed Series A from investors including Sentinel Global, GTMfund, South Park Commons, Jack Altman, RiverPark Capital, and Recall Capital, and now we're building the team to match our ambition. The Role We're hiring a Head of Sales, Legal to own new business in the law firm market: the relationships, the deals, and the playbook for how Centari expands its market share with the most demanding transactional practices in the world. This role is based in our New York office, with travel of up to 30%. What You'll Own - Revenue. You run the full sales cycle, from first conversation to signed six or seven-figure engagement, working with law firm partners and knowledge management and innovation leaders. You’ll start with both a warm pipeline and target list and make every relationship your own from the first meeting. - The vertical playbook. Positioning, messaging, outbound, and account targeting for AmLaw and Magic Circle firms. You build the system that keeps the pipeline full, and you set the pilot and pricing guardrails the team sells within. - Partnerships. Centari's channel and integration partners open doors into law firms. You make sure every introduction turns into a real opportunity and, where it earns it, a closed deal. - The function itself. As the law firm business grows, you'll have the room to shape how Centari serves the market and to grow with it. What You Bring - You've personally sourced and closed six-to-seven-figure deals with sophisticated buyers, ideally law firm partners, and you can run a multi-stakeholder sale end to end without a playbook handed to you. Come with a specific example: how you reached the decision maker, what they needed to see, and what closed it. - 10+ years in or selling into law firms, including enterprise sales of software, data, or information services to AmLaw or Magic Circle firms; time in practice at a leading transactional firm counts toward it. You bring real law firm relationships or the sales background to build them fast. - You've personally built part of a sales motion before: an outbound program, an account plan, a piece of positioning you wrote and tested yourself. - You have the executive presence to hold your own with a law firm partner and the discipline to run your own pipeline before there's a team under you. - Nice to have: you've generated demand and closed deals at an early-stage company without an established category or team behind you. What We Offer - Competitive salary and meaningful equity - Comprehensive health coverage (Centari covers 100% of employee premiums) - Dental and vision (Centari covers 75% of employee premiums) - 401(k) with employer match up to 4% - Lunch covered for in-office team - Flexible PTO
