About the role
ABOUT VINCI
Vinci is building the future of engineering infrastructure.
We created the first AI-native computational platform built on Foundation Models for Physics, enabling engineering teams to bring deterministic physical reasoning into every stage of semiconductor and electronics design. By combining AI, physics, and high-performance computing, Vinci is making it practical to explore vastly more design alternatives, uncover insights that were previously impractical to obtain, and optimize products in minutes instead of days.
Leading semiconductor and electronics companies already use Vinci to solve some of the world's most computationally demanding engineering problems. As we continue to grow, we're building the team that will define the next generation of engineering infrastructure.
THE ROLE
Vinci is entering an accelerating stage of growth.
We are not selling a faster version of something engineers already buy. We are making the case for a different engineering operational model: physics moving from late to early, from episodic to continuous, and from something rationed among specialists to intelligence available while design decisions are still being made.
That shift has to become tangible. And in a market this crowded, it has to become impossible to ignore.
Industry conferences, technical sessions, executive briefings, dinners, and customer experiences are where the people shaping the future of hardware engineering encounter Vinci. They are where engineers decide whether the technology is credible, executives begin to understand the magnitude of the opportunity, and many of our most important commercial relationships start.
We're looking for Vinci's first Events Manager to build the program that brings those moments to life, and to invent the ones no one else would try.
This is not a traditional event-planning role, and it is not only an execution role. We want someone who imagines moments that transform an event from something Vinci attends into something Vinci takes over, and who then has the ability to bring them to life. The after-hours party that becomes the one everyone at DAC is talking about. A live, broadcast-style news desk running throughout SEMICON West. Eventually, the industry event that Vinci hosts rather than sponsors. Those are the kinds of ideas we want this person walking in with, and the kind we will fund when they are right.
You won't inherit a mature program, an established playbook, or a calendar someone else has already decided. You'll work closely with the Head of Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales to shape where Vinci shows up, why we're there, and what each investment needs to accomplish. Then you'll own turning that strategy into an experience that lands.
The right person moves seamlessly between the audacious and the intensely practical: pitching an idea that makes the room nervous, evaluating whether a sponsorship deserves six figures of spend, designing an experience engineers will actually remember, coordinating executives and technical teams, and standing on-site before the doors open making sure every detail works exactly as intended.
You'll work across Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and the executive team. And because Vinci operates in a deeply technical market, the bar is different. Our audience is sophisticated, skeptical of AI claims, and quick to notice when substance is missing. The best Vinci events don't rely on spectacle for its own sake. They make something technically extraordinary clear, credible, and impossible to miss.
If you read that and think, "I get to dream up things no one else would try, have the backing to do it, and then make them happen," we should talk.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and run Vinci's event portfolio. Partner with the Head of Corporate Marketing to develop the annual strategy across major industry conferences, technical symposia, customer programs, executive events, field experiences, and webinars. Bring research, recommendations, and a clear point of view to where we invest, then own the program from decision through completion.
- Create event experiences worthy of the technology. Translate Vinci's positioning and technical differentiation into physical experiences that make the product real. Own booth and space design, live demo environments, collateral, programming, staffing, and the details that determine how someone experiences Vinci once they walk into the room.
- Own sponsorship strategy and event economics. Evaluate packages, build clear cost-and-value comparisons, negotiate terms and added value, manage vendors, and track spend across the portfolio so every investment has an intentional reason for being made.
- Run the speaking and technical-program pipeline. Track the industry's most important CFP, abstract, panel, and speaking opportunities; manage submissions; and coordinate the content development, briefing, preparation, and rehearsal required to put Vinci's executives and technical leaders on the right stages.
- Build a high-performing webinar and digital-event motion. Partner closely with Product Marketing and the Campaigns Manager to run webinar programs end to end, from topic development and speaker coordination through promotion, registration, production, and follow-up, creating a repeatable engine for technical education and demand generation.
- Turn events into commercial momentum. Partner closely with Sales on target-account strategy, pre-event outreach, executive and customer meetings, lead capture, and post-event follow-up. Build the reporting that shows not just who attended, but what moved because Vinci was there.
- Build the operating system behind the program. Create the workback plans, run-of-show standards, budget models, vendor bench, asset and shipping processes, templates, and post-event debriefs that allow the program to scale without sacrificing quality.
- Be the center of gravity when the stakes are high. Major events bring together hard deadlines, executives, customers, technical demos, outside vendors, travel, and variables you cannot control. You'll be the person who sees around corners, surfaces risk early, and keeps the entire machine moving.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5–8 years of event marketing experience, including hands-on ownership of a multi-event annual calendar and meaningful event budgets.
- Direct experience with B2B technology, enterprise, or technical events. Semiconductor, EDA, electronics, hardware, cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, or other deep-technology experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with events such as DAC, IMEC, SEMICON, ECTC, and similar industry conferences is a significant advantage.
- A track record of building events that contributed to measurable commercial outcomes, not simply attendance or impressions.
- Strong judgment about where to invest. You can evaluate opportunities, compare tradeoffs, defend a recommendation, and know when an expensive sponsorship is worth it — and when it isn't.
- Exceptional project-management ability across many simultaneous workstreams, fixed external deadlines, and dependencies you don't control.
- Enough technical fluency to work credibly with engineers, product leaders, and technical content. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to understand what matters, ask good questions, and know when language or presentation is imprecise.
- Experience incorporating live product demonstrations into event environments, or a strong instinct for how to make complex technology tangible.
- Experience with CRM and marketing-automation systems for event workflows and measurement. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- A builder's mindset. You enjoy creating the systems, processes, templates, and standards that make a program better every time it runs.
- Excellent cross-functional instincts. You communicate proactively, bring issues forward early, and know how to move work through Sales, Product, Engineering, executives, agencies, and vendors without losing momentum.
- Composure under pressure and an unusually high standard for execution.
- Comfort operating in a high-growth company where priorities move quickly and the playbook is still being written.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within your first year, you will have:
- Built and delivered Vinci's annual event portfolio on schedule and on budget, with a clear strategic purpose behind every major investment.
- Created flagship Vinci event experiences that stand apart in a crowded technical market and earn credibility with engineers, customers, partners, and executives.
- Established a measurable connection between events and pipeline, including repeatable pre-event, on-site, and post-event motions with Sales.
- Built a consistent speaking, technical-session, and webinar engine that expands Vinci's presence beyond the show floor.
- Created the operating system — processes, templates, vendor relationships, budget discipline, and standards — that allows Vinci's event program to scale.
- Become the person Marketing, Sales, Product, and the executive team trust when the stakes are high: prepared, proactive, and fully in command of the details.
LOGISTICS
- Reports to the Head of Corporate Marketing.
- Hybrid position
- Approximately 30% travel, including domestic industry conferences and potential for international travel.
WHY JOIN VINCI?
There are event roles where you inherit a calendar, refresh the booth, negotiate a few sponsorships, and make an established machine run a little better.
This is not one of them.
Vinci is at the rare point where the technology is already being used on real production engineering programs, the ambition reaches far beyond where we are today, and much of the way the market will come to know the company is still being built.
You'll have the opportunity to define that experience.
You'll work alongside exceptional engineers, researchers, and business leaders tackling some of the hardest problems in modern hardware. You'll be in the rooms with the companies designing the chips, systems, and infrastructure the rest of the world will depend on. And you'll help determine how Vinci shows up at the moments when an industry is deciding what comes next.
You aren't joining after the playbook has been written. You're arriving early enough to write it.
Years from now, the event program should carry your fingerprints: the industry moments we chose, the experiences people remember, the standards we established, and the relationships that began because Vinci showed up differently.
This is the kind of career opportunity that only exists when the timing is right: extraordinary technology, real customer proof, enormous ambition, and meaningful parts of the company still waiting to be built.
If that sounds like the kind of work you want to be able to say you built, we'd love to meet you.
