About the role: You'll own the NPV and unit economics model behind Salmon's credit card business — the core logic behind how we price, size, and monitor profitability across the portfolio. What you'll do: - Work directly with the Head of Economics to turn model logic into production-ready Python/SQL code - Build and maintain the datasets that feed the model — cohorts, cashflows, losses, funding, fees, revenue — with help from other analysts - Automate scenario and sensitivity runs so pricing, limit, and product decisions are backed by real numbers What you'll own: - Own the end-to-end NPV / unit economics model for credit cards — clean, testable, versioned logic - Validate model outputs against actual portfolio performance and investigate gaps when they don't match - Translate model logic into clear, implementation-ready specs when other teams need to build on it - Step outside your immediate scope when the work calls for it — we value ownership over rigid roles What makes you a strong fit: - 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics - Strong Python (pandas) and SQL — for data exploration and for implementing analytics logic in production - Solid understanding of unit economics / financial modeling — cashflows, NPV, cohorts — through direct modeling experience or hands-on work with such models - High attention to detail — small errors break economics in production What we offer: Ownership and flexibility - Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year - Hybrid-first work environment - Company-provided tools and equipment - Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines' growing tech scene Health and time off - Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits - Access to an internal mental health support specialist - 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days - 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila Relocation and family support - Relocation support for you and your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics - Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses - USD 2,500 per year for flights home - Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000/month per child under two, USD 500/month per child aged two to 18 Growth and team experience - Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications - Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person - Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events - High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.
