About the role
A missed defect can mean wasted material, hours of rework, or a customer shipment that should never have left the plant. Shelfmark helps manufacturers catch defects as they happen, understand what caused them, and use that learning to improve the next run.
We’re hiring a Marketing Lead to turn that story into qualified pipeline and help shape how the market understands our technology. If you’ve built successful B2B marketing programs and are ready for broader ownership, this is an opportunity to build and own a marketing function through its next stage of growth.
The opportunity
Shelfmark combines computer vision, machine learning, and purpose-built hardware to bring production intelligence to continuous-flow manufacturing, which accounts for 30% of all global manufacturing. Our ambition is a future where those lines are automated end to end. A line that learns from every run, so teams move from detecting defects to preventing them. You will play a significant part in making that a reality.
You’ll work closely with the CEO, sales team, and engineers, getting close to the technology and the customers who use it. You’ll set priorities, create the work, measure what happens, and improve it. Expect to move between customer interviews, campaign execution, sales conversations, and the factory floor.
What you will own
- A story buyers understand. Own and refine our company, product, and category positioning. Use customer, market, and competitive research to build expertise in manufacturing verticals. Translate complex technology into clear messaging for different industries, buyer roles, and stages of the buying journey. Build a consistent brand across the website, campaigns, events, and sales materials.
- Customer evidence that earns trust. Own content across the website, LinkedIn, email, case studies, and thought leadership. Interview customers, engineers, and industry experts to uncover stories that connect Shelfmark’s technology to operational and financial outcomes. Turn deployments, product milestones, and market insights into compelling content, repurposing strong source material across formats while preserving technical accuracy.
- Programs that create sales opportunities. Build and execute targeted campaigns across outbound, email, account-based marketing, organic channels, and events. Partner with sales on priority accounts, buyer personas, and coordinated outreach. Grow visibility in search engines and AI-generated answers through SEO, AEO, and GEO. Test messaging, audiences, and channels, then use performance data to scale what generates qualified pipeline.
- Tools that help sales win. Build and maintain pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, ROI tools, and technical explainers. Develop account-specific messaging, meeting preparation, collateral, and follow-up for strategic opportunities. Support customer meetings, pilots, executive presentations, and expansion discussions with materials that connect our capabilities to the buyer’s priorities and help opportunities progress.
- Events that create valuable conversations and qualified pipeline. Own our presence at trade shows, conferences, webinars and customer events, from event selection and booth materials to pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up. Work with sales to secure meetings with target accounts and turn engagement into opportunities. Evaluate events by their commercial impact.
- A measurable marketing operation. Build practical workflows for lead capture, qualification, sales handoff, nurture, and reporting. Use HubSpot, Lemlist, ZoomInfo, and other tools to support execution, and evaluate new platforms as we scale. Maintain reliable campaign and pipeline data so we can understand what creates opportunities, helps them progress, and delivers a return on marketing investment.
- AI workflows that make the team better. Use AI extensively for account research, audience segmentation, content development, personalization, analysis, and automation. Build repeatable workflows that help a small team increase the speed, quality, and breadth of its work. Test emerging capabilities and improve the approaches that prove useful, applying human judgment and technical review where they matter.
What you bring
You may have around 3–5 years in B2B marketing, product marketing, or growth. You bring particular strengths in strategic judgment, excellent communication and storytelling, technical curiosity, grit, and AI fluency.
- Excellent writing and sound judgment. You can find the important idea, explain it clearly, and adapt it for an operator, engineer, or executive. You ask good questions and check the details.
- Proof of execution. You’ve taken meaningful projects from idea to launch and can explain your decisions, your contribution, and what happened. You can prioritize a broad mandate and know when to seek expertise.
- AI fluency you can demonstrate. AI is already a substantial part of how you work. You can show workflows you’ve built, explain what they improve, and recognize where your own judgment or a subject expert is essential.
- Commercial and operational confidence. You understand how marketing supports sales and have hands-on experience with marketing or RevOps platforms such as HubSpot, Lemlist, and ZoomInfo. You’re comfortable analyzing performance and connecting activity to qualified pipeline, pipeline velocity, and ROI.
- Curiosity and initiative. You enjoy learning unfamiliar technology, collaborating across disciplines, and getting close to customers. You’re willing to spend time on manufacturing floors and take on the practical work needed to make a program succeed.
Experience in industrial technology, manufacturing, automation, machine vision, or AI is a plus. So is experience in a startup or with enterprise sales teams.
What success looks like

What you will gain
You’ll have meaningful ownership and the opportunity to build a body of work around AI with tangible impact in the physical world. You’ll help shape Shelfmark’s market presence and how its marketing function develops.
We offer a competitive salary, meaningful opportunities to earn equity, and health, dental, vision, and short-term disability benefits.
