Strategic Account Executive

A LITTLE ABOUT US incident.io http://incident.io is the AI software reliability platform trusted by engineering teams at Netflix, Etsy, and 2,000+ companies who can't afford downtime. The stakes are real, the talent is insane, and somehow it's a genuinely lovely place to work. We all pull our weight, go the extra mile, and put in the bit of magic most companies don't have time for, all while having fun and never taking ourselves too seriously. We've raised $100+ million from Index Ventures, Insight Partners, and Point Nine, and we're growing fast. There's never been a better time to join. THE ROLE IN ONE LINE You're joining as the second Strategic AE on a segment that's already proving out — our founding rep is building pipeline fast, and we need you to help us cover it and take incident.io http://incident.io deeper into traditional enterprise, beyond the digital-native base we've won so far. WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE DAY TO DAY As the second Strategic AE at incident.io http://incident.io, you're joining a segment that's already working — our founding rep has built serious pipeline fast, and your job is to help us cover it and push further into traditional enterprise, the territory beyond our digital-native roots. We're not looking for someone coin-operated. We want someone who can steer through ambiguity, working it out together with leadership and the founding rep as this segment takes shape, then taking the reins on driving pipeline and opportunities forward. You'll work closely with our founders and CRO, not as a formality but because this segment is still being written and they're genuinely in the weeds with you. Alongside that, you've got strategic CSMs, pre-sales Solutions Engineer support, a customer support engineer, and a product team that will turn your feature requests around in hours or days, not the quarters-long roadmap cycles you're used to elsewhere. For a Strategic AE, that's the kind of executive support and internal firepower most people never get. We're an AI-forward company, founded by engineers, and everyone here has unlimited Claude access. We're looking for someone who's genuinely an early adopter — using AI in how you research accounts, prep for deals, and work faster than the rep across the table at a legacy vendor. This isn't a role with a scripted ladder — the upside here is earning power, growing as the segment grows and the accounts you close and inherit get bigger. If leadership is where you're headed long-term, know that when we open new roles, we look inward at existing talent first. We want this to be a rocket ship for your career, not just your quota. WHO YOU ARE - You've sourced and closed traditional enterprise deals before, and you've got the results to prove it — from knowing how to leverage a network and create real opportunities inside Fortune 500 accounts where nobody's just waiting for your email. - You've worked in growth-stage startups and know what that actually demands — an evolving playbook, not a finished one, and you're comfortable helping write it rather than waiting for someone to hand it to you. - You're action-oriented. We trust you to make the call and move, not ask permission every step of the way — and you're comfortable operating that way. - You're solutions-minded when things get messy — a stalled deal or a tricky procurement process is a puzzle to you, not a wall. - You're team-oriented — the kind of person others genuinely like working with. You'll partner with founders, a CRO, CSMs, SEs, and support, and you care as much about being good to work with as you do about hitting number. - You want to be part of building something, not just executing inside an established motion — the idea of shaping a brand-new segment excites you more than it intimidates you. SUPPORTING YOU We work hard and we think life outside work matters just as much. Our benefits pack is built to support both. - Market-leading private medical insurance. The proper kind, so you're never weighing up your health against a bill. - Competitive PTO. Showing up at your best requires switching off, and we make sure you have time to do that. - First Friday of every month off. Yes, seriously. - Enhanced 401k. We put real money in, because future-you deserves better than an afterthought. - Meaningful equity. We're rapidly scaling, and everyone who helps shape the outcome should share in it. - Unlimited AI spend. For everyone, not just engineers. We're all-in on AI across the company, and we expect you to be too. - Generous parental leave. The early days with a new baby matter more than anything we're doing here, and we want you to be present for them. - Two budgets that have your back. $1000 to invest in your setup, $500 a year to invest in yourself.
