Corporate IT Engineer

CORPORATE IT ENGINEER About Us Alembic is the pioneering Causal AI platform. We help the world's largest enterprises move past correlation to prove what actually drives business outcomes — the question marketing and growth teams have never been able to answer with confidence. Fortune 100 companies including Nvidia, Delta Air Lines, and Mars use Alembic to make multimillion-dollar decisions on trusted, causal evidence. We're backed by a $145M Series B from WndrCo (founded by Jeffrey Katzenberg), Jensen Huang, Joe Montana, Prysm Capital, and Accenture. Our models run on our own NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD built on Grace Blackwell infrastructure — one of the fastest private supercomputers in the world. About the Role We're looking for someone to own Corporate IT end to end as Alembic scales — the person who makes sure the company's people, devices, identity, and tools just work. This is a broad, foundational role with room to define itself: part hands-on IT, part engineering, with a clear path to automate yourself out of the repetitive parts. It suits someone who likes being the go-to fixer today and is just as motivated to build the systems that make the fixing unnecessary tomorrow. We're deliberately keeping the scope open. Tell us what this role should be. What You'll Do - Own the employee IT lifecycle — onboarding, offboarding, devices, and access — so new hires are productive on day one and access is clean when people leave. - Administer our core SaaS and identity stack (SSO, MDM, directory) with security and least-privilege as defaults, not afterthoughts. - Be the first line of internal support, then turn recurring issues into self-service, documentation, and automation. - Partner with Engineering and Security to keep our endpoints, networks, and tooling reliable and compliant as we grow. - Script and automate the manual work — provisioning, reporting, routine fixes — so IT scales faster than headcount. What Will Help You Succeed - Experience owning IT, systems administration, or IT engineering in a fast-growing company. - Fluency with identity and device management (e.g. Okta/Google Workspace, Jamf/Intune) and the common SaaS stack. - Advanced scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) and a genuine bias toward automating repetitive work. - Strong endpoint security sensibilities and experience. Think JAMF and beyond, and the ability to apply good judgment. - A service orientation paired with engineering instincts — you fix the ticket and then fix the cause. Why You Might Be Excited About Alembic - Real ownership from day one: This is the IT function for the whole company, and it's yours to shape and build. - Build, don't just maintain: You'll have the freedom — and the expectation — to automate manual work and design systems that scale. - Support an elite technical team: You'll keep top engineers and researchers unblocked at a company running one of the world's fastest private supercomputers. - Series B momentum, real ownership: Meaningful equity at a Series B company that's raised $145M, with proven product-market fit and Fortune 100 traction. Why You Might Not Be Excited - You want a fully built-out IT function with established process for every detail — here, you're defining it. - You prefer to stay purely hands-on support and aren't interested in scripting or automating the work away. - You prefer static over dynamic — scope, priorities, and the shape of this role will adapt as we grow. We have real paying customers and a playbook, and we still move at startup speed at Series B scale.
