Talent Engineer

👋 WELCOME TO GLIDE! At Glide we're reimagining the banking experience for the modern world. Our agentic platform empowers legacy financial institutions, like community banks and credit unions, to deploy specialized agents that help the bank grow its deposit and loan portfolio. In just the last year, we've raised $20M and grown revenue 500%, and we're accelerating. We're looking for our first Talent Engineer to help us hire the people who will carry that mission to thousands of banks. As Glide's first Talent Engineer, you will build the recruiting engine that doubles our team to more than 100 people. Think of it as a hybrid of recruiter and engineer: you'll design and run the software, automations, and data pipelines behind how we hire, so that finding and winning great people becomes a system we can scale instead of a manual grind. You'll decide what to build and what to buy. Some of it is a polished tool worth paying for. Plenty of it is a few lines of Python and an API call you wrote yourself. The instinct for which is which, and a bias toward the leaner, more controllable option, is what we're hiring for. This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage company and help create a new standard for how a company hires. What You'll Do: - Turn our network into our pipeline: Our best hires will come from people our team and investors already know. You'll build the systems that surface those second and third-degree connections at scale across LinkedIn, GitHub, operator communities, and referral graphs, so warm introductions happen on purpose instead of by luck. - Automate sourcing and outreach: Stand up and tune the agents and sequences (Juicebox, Clay, Ashby, and whatever you build yourself) that find, enrich, and reach candidates faster and far more personally than any one person could by hand. - Put AI on the first read: Design the LLM-assisted screening that filters for fit before a human spends a minute on it. You own the prompts, the scoring logic, and the quality checks that keep the bar high as volume climbs. - Make Ashby run itself: Keep Ashby as our single source of truth and wire it into sourcing, outreach, scheduling, and comms so candidate status moves without anyone pushing it. - Instrument the funnel: Track the numbers that actually change decisions (time-to-fill, source quality, response and offer-accept rates) and build the dashboards that give hiring managers real-time visibility. - Help us close: You're the front line of Glide's first impression. Beyond the systems, you bring the energy that gets a great candidate genuinely excited to take the next call. Founders still run final rounds, but the person at the top of the funnel sets the tone for everything after it. Who You Are: - A builder first: You stitch tools together and write the glue yourself, whether that's an Ashby sequence, a Clay table, a custom agent, or a quick script against an API. You think in systems, so the hiring machine keeps getting sharper even when you're not touching it. - Magnetic: People want to talk to you. That infectious, easy-to-connect-with energy is what makes a candidate trust the rest of the company before they've met it. - AI-native: You reach for an agent or a script before you reach for manual labor, and you have the judgment to know when the human touch is the entire point. - Relentless: This is a build-from-zero seat at a company in hypergrowth. You want the ownership, and you run at it. Background is negotiable. The best person for this role might be a technical builder early in their career, or an operator from a high-growth company who has already run talent or GTM systems. What matters is that you can build the machine. Why Now? We're heading into the most aggressive growth phase in Glide's history. Talent is the constraint on what we build next. This role exists to remove it, and you'll have true ownership and a seat at the table as we grow. With backing from world-class investors like Pear VC, Acrew Capital, and the founders of Stripe, DoorDash, Robinhood, Plaid, and more, we have the support and capital to build a generational company. PERKS AND BENEFITS 💸 Competitive Compensation: The benchmark compensation for this role is $120,000 to $160,000 base. Offered compensation may land higher or lower depending on skill and experience level, and you'll receive a generous equity package for joining us at Glide. ❤️ Wellbeing Credits (for US employees): Besides stellar health, dental, and vision insurance, we offer a generous health and wellness stipend, so you can stay healthy and active. 🥗 Lunch on us (for US employees): We love food. Every member of the Glide team gets free lunch, every day. No one goes hungry around here :) 🌴 Unlimited PTO and Sick Days: We trust our team to balance their responsibilities and well-being, so our unlimited PTO and sick day policy empowers everyone to take the time they need without unnecessary red tape. 💻 Best Tools: We want you to be happy at work. You'll get a full equipment upgrade, from a top-of-the-line computer to your preference on keyboard, mouse, and accessories. 💼 In-Person Culture: This is a full-time, in-person role based out of our Flatiron headquarters. Recruiting is the front line of Glide, so we want you in the building with the team you're hiring for, five days a week.
