Senior Immigration Specialist

OUR MISSION Casium is building the fastest, most comprehensive business immigration solution for modern companies. Today, teams using Casium see filings move 11x faster, spend 3+ fewer admin hours per case, and pay roughly 30% less than with a typical law firm, while achieving an approval rate above the market median. We combine deep legal expertise with AI innovation to help companies secure and retain top global talent with more speed, clarity, and confidence. Talent is global. Immigration infrastructure is still fragmented, manual, and opaque. HR teams spend significant time coordinating cases. High-priority hires get delayed. Employees struggle to understand what is happening and what comes next. Casium is rebuilding business immigration from the ground up. WHY WE'RE BUILT TO WIN Casium is an AI-native law firm combining deep legal expertise, technology, and exceptional customer experience. Our team brings experience from Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, DataRobot, LSEG, Vialto Partners, Envoy Global, and in-house legal teams at major global companies. Our founding team has built and shipped AI products at enterprise scale. Our legal team brings deep experience across business immigration, in-house legal environments, and global mobility programs. We are backed by AI2 Incubator, Maverick Ventures, GTMfund, Success Venture Partners, and Jake Heller, Co-founder and CEO of Casetext, acquired by Thomson Reuters. This market is large, painful, and ripe for reinvention. We believe the winning company will be the one that combines legal quality, AI-native execution, and exceptional customer trust. That is what we are building. This role begins with hands-on immigration casework and expands into operations, customer experience, and product input. You will not only execute cases but also help shape how immigration work is done at Casium. You’ll work closely with attorneys, founders, and product teams to ensure that our tools, workflows, and automation actually lead to better legal outcomes and a better customer experience. This is a high-ownership role designed for someone who wants to grow beyond traditional paralegal work and into operations leadership, customer success, or legal ops. This is a cross-functional role with high visibility and deep impact on how Casium operates, builds, and grows. WHAT YOU’LL DO Immigration Case Work - Prepare and manage employment-based immigration cases end-to-end (L-1s, H-1B, PERM-based cases, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A etc). - Draft, organize, and quality-check petition materials, evidence packets, and supporting documentation. - Track timelines, milestones, and deadlines with precision. - Apply sound judgment and escalate legal questions appropriately. Product Thinking & Tooling Input - Identify patterns, bottlenecks, and failure points in immigration workflows. - Collaborate with product and engineering to craft and design: - Intake flows - Document generation and review - Evidence organization - Case tracking and client visibility - Help validate whether automation and tooling are improving quality, not just speed. - Help product and engineering test new technologies and new product features. Customer Experience - Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout the immigration process. - Communicate complex concepts clearly and empathetically. - Proactively surface risks, gaps, or delays and help resolve them early. Operations & Systems Building - Create and improve playbooks, templates, SOPs, and quality checklists. - Turn one-off fixes into repeatable systems. - Support onboarding and training of future hires as the team grows. - Take ownership of workflows as a DRI over time. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Must-Haves - 4+ years of experience in U.S. employment-based immigration, with hands-on experience managing PERM processes and high-volume corporate immigration matters (paralegal, immigration specialist, or similar) - Strong legal writing skills. - Exceptional attention to detail and ownership. - Comfort working in fast-moving, evolving environments. - Clear written and verbal communication. - Interest in how technology can improve legal work. Nice-to-Haves - Experience with O-1, EB-1A, or EB-2 NIW cases. - Exposure to legal operations, customer success, or process improvement work. - Experience working with internal tools and providing thoughtful feedback to product or engineering teams. - Comfort using AI and automation tools to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency. - Interest in training, mentoring, or enabling others through clear documentation and playbooks. - Strong curiosity and enthusiasm for being an early adopter of Casium’s technology, with the ability to translate learnings into actionable improvements for the team and product. WHY CASIUM - Mission-driven impact. Immigration is complex, opaque, and high-stakes. We are helping extraordinary people and the companies that hire them navigate it with clarity and confidence. - Technology and legal expertise working together. We build software that supports and scales strong legal work, improving quality, speed, and consistency without replacing professional judgment. - You will shape the system. This role has direct influence over workflows, tooling, quality standards, and the customer experience, not just execution. - Hard problems with real consequences. Immigration work affects people’s lives and businesses. The problems are complex and the impact is tangible. - Early but de-risked. You will help shape how the company operates and scales, backed by paying customers, strong early traction, and support from the AI2 Incubator and experienced operators. - Deep learning and growth. You will work at the intersection of immigration, operations, and product while learning directly from legal experts and builders focused on continuous improvement. WHY YOU SHOULDN’T JOIN US - You want a narrow, checklist-only paralegal role with fixed processes. - You prefer stable, fully-formed systems over building and improving them. - You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity or evolving responsibilities. - You’re not interested in thinking about product, tooling, or operations. - You expect heavy hierarchy, rigid titles, or slow decision-making. Casium is a fast-moving environment where ownership, judgment, and initiative matter. The upside is meaningful impact and growth. The tradeoff is that things won’t always be perfectly defined.
