Founding Product Designer

At Sentra we embarked on an exciting journey to build a one-of-a-kind company memory to help growing startups overcome scaling challenges. At Sentra https://www.sentra.app/app/memory, we've developed a true AI teammate that understands an organization's context, goals, and culture - offering both ICs and leaders unprecedented transparency into what's happening across the company and strategic alignment. Sentra is backed by a16z and Together Fund, working with leaders from the top tech companies in the valley. Our goal? To never let a company lose itself as it gets bigger. What you'll do: - Work directly with CEO on overall strategy and decision-making about product direction - Work with the product team to take ambiguous product ideas and turn them into clear requirements, flows, interactions, and design interfaces. - Create flows, interactions, and designs for multi-surface products: desktop app, web dashboard, notifications, AI outputs, etc. - Rapidly prototype ideas (Figma, interactive mocks) to test with customers - Create and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals, as well as provide thoughtful feedback for others doing the same so you can all do your best work - Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are buildable, performant, and scalable - Create reusable components, patterns, and documentation as the product scales - Collaboratively define metrics and data points to collect and measure design effectiveness - Run lightweight user research, usability tests, and feedback loops with real operators - Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities - Contribute to our design org’s culture by participating in design critiques, mentoring peers, and sharing best practices across teams We’d love to hear from you if you have: - 3+ years of work or equivalent experience designing UX and UI for a software product of similar scale and complexity - Great attention to detail and a strong eye for visual craft, such as composition, typography, and layout of modern AI products - Fluency in interaction design and prototyping in Figma and related tools, to express and refine nuanced design decisions - A track record of independently driving design processes from discovery through launch—balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals - The ability to guide decision-making with structured thinking, clearly articulated rationale, and user-centered research - Experience with data-driven decision making in the design process, defining metrics and data points to evaluate and measure design effectiveness While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have: - Experience designing information tools, workflows, or systems that support company operations - Experience researching, prototyping, or building products with AI and other emerging tools to uncover new patterns for agentic experiences - Experience with consumer applications What we offer: - Competitive salary and equity - Free meals on in-office days - UberEats credits - Health insurance coverage (medical, dental, and vision) - Equinox and other fitness/wellness memberships - Transportation stipend - Flexible time off
