Group Product Manager

CONSEQUENTIAL WORK. DEDICATED PEOPLE. ABOUT ONEBRIEF Onebrief builds collaboration and AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination. Military planning is complex by nature, requiring teams to coordinate information, people, and decisions across systems and locations. Onebrief brings planning, collaboration, simulation, and AI into one connected environment, helping teams test strategies, adapt to changing conditions, and make decisions with greater clarity when the stakes are real. We are a distributed team of builders from military, operational, and technology backgrounds who care deeply about improving how important work gets done. Some team members work remotely, while others work directly alongside customers in operational environments around the world. Founded in 2019, Onebrief is backed by leading investors including General Catalyst, Battery Ventures, Insight Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Human Capital. Valued at more than $2 billion, we continue to invest in product innovation, AI capabilities, and team growth. ABOUT THE ROLE We are hiring a Group Product Manager to lead and develop PMs working across Onebrief and AtomEngine. You will help shape product direction, turn customer insight into clear priorities, and build a team that makes strong decisions independently. Your impact will come through the people you develop and the products they build. You will coach experienced PMs, improve decisions across product areas, and work with Engineering and Design to turn ambitious ideas into useful, dependable software. You will stay close to customers and difficult product questions while giving PMs clear ownership of their areas. You will also help shape product management for an agentic future. As AI agents take on more of the work of building software, you will help the team strengthen the customer understanding, problem framing, and evaluation that guide that work. You will partner with company leadership on direction and consequential tradeoffs, and own priorities and outcomes within your team’s agreed scope. ABOUT YOU Experienced PMs seek your input because it makes their thinking better. You have built complex software yourself and can translate that experience into useful coaching. You know when to ask a better question, when to give direct feedback, and when to make a decision. You bring ambition and intellectual honesty to the work. You can hold a high bar while giving people room to grow. You care enough about customers to learn how they actually work, and you take responsibility for what happens after a product ships. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Develop strong product leaders. Set clear expectations, coach through live work, address performance gaps, and support hiring and growth. Help PMs develop the judgment and confidence to lead increasingly difficult work. - Shape coherent product direction. Connect company priorities and customer needs to a clear point of view across your product areas. Make deliberate choices about what to pursue, sequence, test, or defer. - Deepen customer understanding. Work with users, domain experts, and field teams to understand operational workflows. Help PMs distinguish recurring needs from individual requests and find opportunities customers may struggle to articulate. - Advance product management with AI agents. Partner with Engineering and Design to test new approaches to discovery and development. Equip PMs to provide agents with useful context, define success, evaluate results, and exercise judgment where it matters. - Raise product quality. Help teams make sophisticated capabilities understandable and dependable. Challenge assumptions, review alternatives, and balance experimentation with the trust customers place in our software. - Build commitment across teams. Resolve dependencies and competing priorities with Engineering, Design, and Product Operations. Clarify ownership and bring larger tradeoffs to leadership with a recommendation. - Follow through on outcomes. Define success before delivery and learn from adoption, customer feedback, and business results. Change course when the evidence shows that a different approach would create more value. WHAT WE LOOK FOR - Direct experience managing product managers, including developing experienced PMs, giving difficult feedback, and improving performance. - A record of shaping and delivering complex software products, with clear examples of customer or business impact. - Strong product judgment across discovery, strategy, prioritization, and evaluation after launch. - Technical fluency that earns the trust of Engineering and enables thoughtful tradeoffs with Design. - Experience leading across multiple teams and communicating consequential decisions clearly. - Practical curiosity about AI agents and how they can improve product development, paired with thoughtful evaluation of their limits. Experience with defense customers, planning tools, simulation, or other demanding enterprise workflows is valuable. We welcome candidates from adjacent industries who bring strong product leadership and a commitment to learning from users.
